Ahmad Shafiq is the first Asian who has been made a part of European network of hotel schools.  At least 39 countries are a part of EURHODIP through more than 150 hospitality and tourism schools including the best ones in Europe. Ahmad Shafiq’s inclusion in the list of board of directors of EURHODIP is an opportunity for the Asian Countries to get themselves introduced to the best hospitality and tourism platforms and think tanks operating in Europe. Ahmad Shafiq who is also the holder of American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s ‘Lamp of Knowledge Award’ backed by the Cornell University USA is a leading hospitality educator in Pakistan and his presence in EURHODIP’s board of directors’ list is an acknowledgment of his global services in the field of hospitality.

Mr. Ahmad Shafiq grew up in Pakistan before attending University of Bournemouth, UK where he studied Hospitality Management. He also subsequently obtained multiple prestigious certifications in the field of hospitality and management. He then worked for over 25 years in the hospitality industry in a variety of senior leadership positions with global players including World Bank, International Center for Business Communication, Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH), UK, World Association of Chefs Societies, Saudi Arabian Chefs Association etc. He also originated, participated, and successfully completed several major acquisitions and integrations of hospitality, culinary and tourism industry.

He is the founder of Pakistan’s first hospitality institute, College of Tourism and Hotel Management  (COTHM) and momentarily and serving as CEO of COTHM Pakistan & Dubai. He is also working with other major players of the leisure and hospitality industry across the world.
